Annika Katchur is a current student at Drexel University as an Animation and Visual Effects major with a minor in Virtual Reality and Immersive Media. Her current pursuits at Drexel focus on 3D modeling, real-time environments, visual effects and simulations, and CGI animation.
Her previous co-op was an internship at Joteva Studio as a VFX Assistant. While with the studio, she worked on 3D models using photogrammetry tools, creating particle simulations and environments in Houdini, and using video editing software to create videos for social media. She is currently looking forward to her future job and co-op opportunities with Drexel.
She graduated from Freedom High School and the Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School, where she took Commercial Art with a focus on graphic design. While in high school, she also volunteered with ArtsQuest to work at Musikfest, the United State’s largest non-gated free music festival. Annika also volunteered at Camel Hump Farm where she did landscape and farm work.
When she isn’t busy with her work she:
- Fences foil on Drexel’s Club Fencing Team
- Plays video games with friends
- Formerly, she was a varsity tennis captain in high school and continues to play tennis recreationally
- Formerly, she was the stage manager of her high school theater company
