Annika Katchur is a current student at Drexel University as an Animation and Visual Effects major with a minor in Virtual Reality and Immersive Media. Her current pursuits at Drexel focus on visual effects and simulations, compositing, real-time environments, and CGI animation.
Currently, she works for Matrioshka Games as a VFX Artist Intern. Her workday involves making visual effects using Unreal Engine’s Niagara.
She worked for the Houdini.School as a Junior Artist during her second co-op. Annika edited their tutorials with Premiere Pro, set up Houdini files for classes, as well as other teacher assistant jobs.
Her earliest co-op was an internship at Joteva Studio as a VFX Assistant. While with the studio, she worked on 3D models using photogrammetry tools, creating particle simulations and environments in Houdini, and using video editing software to create videos for social media. She is currently looking forward to her future job and co-op opportunities with Drexel.
When she isn’t working, Annika is a part of the Drexel Fencing Club where she fences foil and volunteers as the club’s armorer. She also enjoys playing tennis recreationally and playing video games with her friends.
